At Lunivo, we make furniture the slow way — solid teak joinery, welded aluminum frames, hand-woven wicker, and cushions engineered to live outside. A warranty should tell you how long a maker expects its furniture to last. Here is our answer, component by component.
Coverage at a Glance
| Component | Warranty Period |
|---|---|
| Teak frame & structure (incl. teak tabletops, against structural manufacturing defects) | 5 years |
| Aluminum frame | 5 years |
| Premium resin wicker | 3 years |
| Hardware — bolts, screws, connectors, leveling feet | 3 years |
| Anodized / powder-coated frame finishes | 2 years |
| Cushions & standard fabrics — workmanship & foam core | 2 years |
| Sunbrella® fabrics | 5-year applicable coverage under the applicable Sunbrella® limited warranty |
| Any component used in a commercial setting | 2 years (maximum, all components) |
During the applicable period, we warrant each component against defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use. If a covered defect appears, we will — at our discretion — repair it, send replacement parts free of charge, or replace the piece. Shipping on covered claims is on us.
Teak Frame & Structure — 5 Years
This is our core promise. For five years, we cover:
- Structural breakage of table legs, aprons, and frames
- Structural breakage of chair, bench, and sofa legs and frames
- Joinery and connection points that loosen or fail due to a manufacturing defect
- Structural failure under normal residential use
What teak will naturally do — and why it isn't a defect.
Teak is a living material, and no two pieces look identical. Left outdoors and untreated, its golden tones gradually weather to a soft silver-gray patina. Along the way, expect:
- Color and grain variation from piece to piece
- Natural teak oils surfacing — and occasionally transferring to cushions or covers; this is normal teak behavior and is not covered
- Small checking (hairline surface cracks) as the wood breathes
- Slight cupping, bowing, warping, or grain lifting
- Minor expansion and contraction with seasonal humidity
None of this affects the strength of the wood. Only cracks or movement that compromise the structural integrity of the piece — making it unsafe or unusable for normal use — are covered under the 5-year term above. If you prefer the honey tone to the silver, our Care Guide shows how to clean and re-oil teak.
Care note: clean teak two to three times a year, and avoid leaving it in direct contact with grass or soil for extended periods — like any wood, prolonged ground contact invites mold and fungus.
Teak tabletops on aluminum-frame tables: the teak top carries the same 5-year coverage against structural manufacturing defects. Weathering, checking, color change, small movement, and surface stains from food, drink, or leaves are natural and are not covered — clean spills promptly and see Care Instructions.
Aluminum Frame — 5 Years
- Frame breakage, cracked welds, and failed structural members under normal residential use
- Joints and welds that loosen or fail due to a manufacturing defect
- Structural failure from normal use
Not covered: minor cosmetic scratches and dents, and minor variation in the finish — the finish itself has its own term below.
Premium Resin Wicker — 3 Years
- Broken wicker strands
- Premature cracking or splitting
- Weave failure — strands pulling loose where they shouldn't
- Other manufacturing defects in the wicker or the weave
Every LUNIVO weave is done by hand, so slight pattern variation is a signature of the process, not a flaw. Also not covered: normal fading from years of sun, minor color and texture variation, and handwoven pattern variation.
Wicker is tough, but it isn't armor — misuse, pet damage, fire and heat damage, chemical damage, improper storage, and storm damage are excluded (see also the global exclusions below).
Hardware — 3 Years
Every bolt, screw, connector, and leveling foot is covered for three years against manufacturing defects — fasteners that strip, seize, corrode, or fail under normal residential use.
Not covered: corrosion caused by salt air in coastal environments, exposure to pool and spa chemicals or abrasive cleaners, and damage from power tools during assembly. Hand-tighten per your manual — the installation videos on our YouTube channel youtube.com/@LunivoLiving show the exact sequence.
Frame Finish — 2 Years
Anodized and powder-coated surfaces are covered for two years against peeling, bubbling, blistering, and excessive fading under normal use.
Finishes age like everything else outdoors: gradual fading and oxidation over time, scratches and chips from use, and faster weathering in coastal climates are not covered. A seasonal rinse keeps frames looking their longest — especially near the ocean.
Standard Cushion & Fabric Workmanship — 2 Years
Our deep-seat cushions are built around a foam core, wrapped and sewn to hold their shape. For two years, we cover:
- Abnormal foam collapse or core breakdown
- Seam failure — stitching that lets go
- Zipper failure
- Major loss of shape due to a manufacturing defect
What's normal: foam softens and takes your shape with use — that's the cushion doing its job, not a defect. Not covered: normal softening and compression, stains (including teak-oil transfer), mildew from improper storage, damage from prolonged water saturation, and improper cleaning.
Sunbrella® Fabric — 5-Year Applicable Coverage
Where we upholster in Sunbrella®, the fabric itself is covered by the applicable Sunbrella® limited warranty — up to five years, per its terms.
Two promises, one cushion, no gaps:
- Sunbrella warrants the fabric — colorfastness, strength, and performance per the applicable Sunbrella® limited warranty
- LUNIVO warrants the construction — seams, zippers, foam, and everything we sew and stuff around that fabric (the 2-year workmanship term above)
To start a fabric claim, just email us — we'll handle the routing.
Commercial Use — 2 Years
Furniture used in commercial settings — hospitality, offices, short-term rentals — is covered for a maximum of two years from the date of purchase, across all components. Planning a commercial project? Email support@lunivoliving.com and we'll talk specifics.
What This Warranty Doesn't Cover
The borders, stated plainly:
- Normal wear and natural character — including everything in the teak, wicker, and finish sections above
- Transit damage — report delivery damage promptly; missing or damaged parts are handled on a fast track at lunivo.com/pages/parts-replacement
- Improper assembly or installation — including power tools where the manual calls for hand-tightening (watch the video first: youtube.com/@LunivoLiving)
- Misuse, abuse, or negligence — including exceeding stated weight limits
- Improper storage — furniture or cushions covered or stored wet, left in standing water, or stored without cleaning first
- Improper cleaning — abrasive or unapproved cleaners, pressure washers, and chemicals including pool and spa treatments, suntan oils, and insect repellents on fabrics
- Modifications — drilling, cutting, repainting, re-upholstery, non-LUNIVO parts, unauthorized repair
- Mold and mildew — these grow on dirt and organic matter; routine cleaning prevents them (see the Care Guide)
- Environment — storms, hail, flood, wind-blown debris, lightning, freezing and bursting, extreme heat, acts of God
- Coastal corrosion — salt air accelerates corrosion and weathering; that's an environment, not a defect (seasonal rinses help)
- Fire and heat — including proximity to fire pits, grills, and outdoor heaters
- Pets and pests — chewing, scratching, rodents, birds
- Commercial use beyond the 2-year commercial term above
- Unauthorized resellers — this warranty covers orders placed on lunivoliving.com and authorized partners only
This warranty is non-transferable and runs alongside — it does not replace — your statutory consumer rights.
