Born of materials — and the people who love them.
Lunivo comes from the team behind Modern Shade, where we've spent years in the business of outdoor living — designing shade structures, working with light, and learning how families actually live beneath it.
Over those years, two things kept happening.
Our customers kept asking. Photos of pieces still living beautifully after seasons outdoors. Notes wondering when we'd build furniture — something worthy of the life our shade had sheltered. We kept those notes.
And we kept falling for the materials. The more we worked with solid teak, welded aluminum, hand-woven wicker, and Sunbrella® fabrics, the more we saw how far each one could go — the patina teak earns with age, the precision a clean weld holds for decades, the warmth a weaver's hands leave in every strand.
One invitation came from the people. One inspiration came from the craft. In 2026 they converged into a single project: a new line where every material gets to be its best self — joinery over fasteners, welds over bolts, weaves done by hand. We named it from its ingredients: lune, the light, and vivo, the living.
What We Believe
- Furniture should be worth keeping. Materials chosen to age gracefully — teak that silvers without weakening, frames that never ask to be re-tightened.
- Indoor and outdoor are one life. We design for the doorway between them — for Tuesday dinners and long golden Sundays alike.
- Promises should be plain. Terms in human language, replacement parts shipped in a day, care guides that tell you exactly what your materials will do — and why that's beautiful.
That's Lunivo: the slow way, made standard.
